Apex has an opportunity for a Desktop / Laptop Migration Support Technician to join our fast-paced financial services partner on an exciting initiative!
Role: Laptop Migration Support Technician
Location: North Richland Hills, TX
Term: 5+ Months.
Description:
Our team is embarking upon a laptop migration effort and we need savvy technicians to assist with the machine setup and distribution efforts onsite in North Richland Hills, TX.
The Desktop Support Technicians role is to support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That include imaging, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via incident tickets) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Able to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to configure (image) laptops and desktops (SCCM imaging using thumb drives)
- Repair and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and company owned mobile devices
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi and VPN connection issues
- Time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Experienced in providing professional and courteous customer service
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
- Proficiency in programs such as Service Now, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Associate degree or bachelors degree or higher in an IT-related field such as computer science, technical support, and information technology
- A+ certification for computer technology (a plus)
- Minimum of two years experience supporting end user desktop, laptop, operating systems or has served in a similar role in another IT-related position
