Opportunity :

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details :

  • Work four 10-hour shifts per week from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Take 5-6 nights of call monthly (call starts at 5 : 00 PM and ends at 6 : 30 AM next morning)
  • Take 1 weekend of call monthly (weekend call starts at 5 : 00 PM Friday through 6 : 30 AM Monday)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Must have BLS, RCIS or ARRT certification, and Maryland license
  • Strong vascular procedure experience required
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS
  • Must be proficient in scrubbing and monitoring all scheduled procedures
  • Work with procedures including TAVRs, AAA repair, STEMI, defibrillator and pacemaker insertions or removals
  • Perform peripheral angiography including lower extremity angiograms to carotid stent placement
  • Must be proficient with insertion / programming of AICDs (Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators)
  • Experience required with McKesson charting system
  • Work with specialized equipment including McKesson monitoring system, Phillips x-ray, Volcano IVUS and FFR, Boston Scientific IVUS and FFR
  • May float within facility and to affiliate hospital nearby
  • Daily census of 20 patients with approximately 15 visits per day in 5-room unit
  • Work with adult patient population
  • Complete non-billable modules : 8 hours for new starts and up to 175 minutes annually

    This major healthcare facility features a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory with 5 rooms and advanced cardiovascular services. The facility specializes in complex cardiac procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, coronary interventions, and cardiac device implantations. The organization provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
