Radiology Cardiology CT Tech

Job Summary :

The CT Technician is responsible for performing CT scans including those of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine and musculoskeletal system. This role requires proficiency in image display post-processing skills and professional knowledge related to patient care radiation safety and contrast media administration. The technician will work evenings including some weekends and on-call shifts in a Level I trauma center.

Location : Springfield Illinois United States

Responsibilities :

• Perform CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine and musculoskeletal system.
• Utilize image display and post-processing skills including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction.
• Apply professional knowledge and skills related to isolation precautions radiation safety and contrast media administration.
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture.
• Perform coronary CTA procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
• Answer phone calls and direct them accordingly.
• Coordinate equipment and supply needs.
