Job Summary :
The CT Technician is responsible for performing CT scans including those of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine and musculoskeletal system. This role requires proficiency in image display post-processing skills and professional knowledge related to patient care radiation safety and contrast media administration. The technician will work evenings including some weekends and on-call shifts in a Level I trauma center.

Responsibilities :
- Perform CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine and musculoskeletal system.
- Utilize image display and post-processing skills including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction.
- Apply professional knowledge and skills related to isolation precautions radiation safety and contrast media administration.
- Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture.
- Perform coronary CTA procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Answer phone calls and direct them accordingly.
- Coordinate equipment and supply needs.
Required Skills & Certifications :
ARRT certification.ARRT-CT certification.BLS certification.Active state license.Minimum 2 years of CT experience in an acute care setting.Experience with Adult Acute Care Adult Outpatient ICU Emergency Department and Level I Trauma settings.Experience with Abdomen and Pelvis CT (with and without contrast).Experience with Chest CT (with and without contrast vascular chest).Experience with Head and Neck CT (carotid with and without contrast sinuses soft tissue neck trauma head).Experience with Image Display and Post Processing (3D rendering multiplanar reconstruction ROI measurement).Experience with Spine and Musculoskeletal CT (cervical lumbar musculoskeletal trauma thoracic).Knowledge of Isolation Precautions Radiation Safety.Skills in Preparation and administration of contrast media Starting Peripheral IVs Venipuncture.Experience with Coronary CTA.Preferred Skills & Certifications :
N / ASpecial Considerations :
On-call and holiday coverage required as needed (1 night of call per week).Must be able to work in a Level I trauma center environment.RTO (request time off) restrictions : Discuss time off requests with manager.Guaranteed Hours : Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off that will count as a called-off shift.Scheduling :
