Assistant Team Leader

Responsibilities

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Team Leader to join our Columbia, SC team . In this role, you wi ll successfully ensure that our technicians are properly trained and organized through mentorship within the Field Services department.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities : P erform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
• Safety : Inventory maintenance and organization of supplies; Calibration and maintenance of field equipment to include keeping accurate records; Promote safety and safety culture; Ensure proper PPE is used on project sites; Assist with company required safety training.
• Communication : Daily communication with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; Collaborate with Team Leaders to support scheduling operations and recruiting to maintain appropriate staff among your team; Assist with management of field staff; Actively mentor and train junior field staff as they grow in their careers; Provide support to project managers and department manager as needed; Attend project meetings as requested; May participate in business development, marketing, and client development.
