PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Louisville, KY 40241 (Kentucky nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Type : Travel RN Start Date : December 14, 2025 End Date : March 14, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 45pm – 7 : 15am), every other weekend, holiday availability required Hours : 36 hours / week (3x12-hour shifts) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910–$1960 per week On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Kentucky RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 2 years of acute care / inpatient RN experience; PCU nursing experience preferred Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Proficiency with Epic EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing reassessments based on patient condition Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for PCU patients Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize clinical outcomes Monitor and document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments Provide patient and family education throughout the continuum of care Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel as appropriate Mentor and precept new nursing staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives within the healthcare facility Comply with all regulatory standards and organizational policies for Kentucky healthcare jobs Apply now to join our Louisville healthcare team as a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse and advance your nursing career in Kentucky!
