About The Position

License : Valid state license required

Certifications : BCLS

Must-Have :

Skilled home care experience

Home health experience with OASIS training and experience

IV skills and wound care experience

General medical diagnosis experience

High-risk diagnosis experience : HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, stroke

Post-operative care experience

Must have valid driver's license and car for home visits

Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption form on file

Must have flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask-wearing at all times while working

Description :

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.

Skilled home care experience is required; private duty nursing experience only will not be accepted.

The role involves performing cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, Pleurx / Asept drain care, and foley catheter change and care.

Responsibilities also include staple / suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time machine use, lab draw venipuncture, IV skills, PICC line or midline care and dressing change, and subcutaneous port access and deaccess.

Home skilled visits will be 6-8 per day.

Day and shift hours may vary based on the needs of the home health office.

Visits and hours will be self-scheduled.

Candidates will float within hospitals or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.

All home health RNs will complete the same training modules pre-start and annually.

Skilled home care involves providing care for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients.

Recent patient care experience within the last three months is required.

Ability to work in a smoke-free facility is expected.

Compliance documents must be submitted prior to the start of the role.

Pass / fail EKG exam with three attempts allowed for completion.
