Animal Care of Davis County is currently hiring for a full-time Animal Control Officer in Fruit Heights, Utah. Applications will be accepted through July 27, 2025. Animal Control Officers work to ensure a safe and harmonious environment for both human and animal residents of the community. This position responds to dispatch calls to provide animal rescue, municipal and public assistance with animal-related situations and enforcement of state and local statutes.
This position requires working 10 hour shifts, including weekends, holidays and being on-call on a rotation basis for one week at a time, responding to emergency calls within 15 minutes, 24 hours / day.
Pay Range and Benefits : Level I ($19.68 - $25.02 / hr) and Level II ($21.97 - $27.96 / hr) Salary based on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive pay and our service oriented culture, we offer the following benefits :
Requirements :
Preference for work experience within the previous 3 years performing first-contact, front facing customer service. Preference for customer service work experience using bilingual skills in English and Spanish.

Day to Day Duties :
Working Conditions : Work in stressful and noisy conditions. Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 100 pounds; work outdoors in varying temperatures and climates; work with aggressive and potentially vicious animals; work in an environment with exposure to deceased, sick and injured animals, animal matter, hair and noxious odors; work with cleaning materials; use strength and agility while working with active animals.
