At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a CMA / RMA to join our team in the Infusion Suite.
The primary responsibility of the CMA / RMA is :
- Competent in managing patient flow and rooming patients, medical and surgical asepsis & infection control techniques, and positioning and prepping patients for office procedures.
- Initiates and completes the prior-authorization process for medications and diagnostics as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator.
- Answers telephone calls as needed in response to patient inquiries. Refer patients to other staff as appropriate.
- Interacts professionally and appropriately with patients, families, and colleagues at all levels in a busy clinical setting.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications :
Registered Medical Assistant or AAMA certified medical assistantEligible to sit for the AAMA national certification examCompetency in phlebotomy a bonusHigh integrity, able to follow proceduresAbility to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processesCompensation : Min : $21.19
