Crisis Intervention Specialist - Harbor Point, Clarinda, IA

Help make a difference in someone's life. This job will be 4, 10-hour shifts, Wednesday - Saturday, 6 am - 4 pm.

The Crisis Intervention Specialist provides assistance to individuals to help meet their social and emotional needs, as well as provide behavioral support through the use of programming developed to empower individuals to achieve long-term success. We are focused on providing individualized and evidence-based approaches through our program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Be able to work with individuals undergoing a mental health crisis or substance use disorder.
• Assist individuals experiencing a mental health crisis utilizing effective de-escalation techniques and enhancing their ability to cope independently.
• Collaborate and provide referrals to outside services to ensure continuity of care.
• Receive your Medication Management certificate to accurately administer and document medications according to facility standards.
• Always maintain safe and sanitary conditions within the facility, keeping safety hazards away from clientele.
• Complete documentation on each shift relating to client interactions and progress on personal goals, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
• Work with clients each day on identified goals to ensure progress and program compliance.
• Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with individuals served.
• Complete and maintain required trainings.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
