Job description

This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday generally from 8am-4 : 30pm. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla (Torrey Pines area). Travel to other sites on an as-needed basis. No weekends, evenings or holidays.

  • The Ideal Candidate & What You'll Do :

  • Experienced and comfortable in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, shots, and staple removals.
  • Eager to grow their skills as a Medical Assistant and provide exceptional patient care.
  • Function in a high volume clinic that sees 45-60 patients per day, supporting 8 Providers.
  • Primary responsibilities include assisting with procedures, rooming patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to our patients over the phone for call backs and instructions.

    Qualifications

    Required Education / Experience / Specialized Skills :

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • Required Certification / Registration :

  • BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Preferred Education / Experience / Specialized Skills / Certification :

  • One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting preferred
  • Experience in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals
