Sr. Director Strategic Sales
– Microsoft
Leads and coordinates a diverse and high-performing team and key stakeholders on plan execution across strategic accounts, driving accountability to deliver on account plans and grow the account. Provides thought leadership and strategic co‑innovation ideas, challenges customers when appropriate, and builds long‑term strategic customer relationships to deliver mutual value.
Responsibilities
Account Management
Leads efforts with key internal and external partners including vertical industry partners, developing and promoting long‑term joint investment plans to grow sales and partner impact. Orchestrates execution of strategies to ensure high‑volume sales, revenue growth and new opportunities aligned to goals, budgets and forecasts. Leads, challenges and inspires the team to focus on top priorities, leveraging deep industry expertise to anticipate industry direction, ecosystem transformation and customer needs.
Competitive Knowledge
Partners with internal industry experts to strengthen knowledge of emerging trends, forecasting long‑term developments, competitors, and client priorities. Guides the team on Microsoft’s offerings to address customer needs and mentors the account management team to gain deeper industry knowledge.
Customer Engagement
Develops a comprehensive understanding of customer business needs, priorities, and strategies. Anticipates customer needs to deliver new insights, optimizing offerings and solutions. Owns a transformative stakeholder engagement strategy, building trust and loyalty.
People Management
Delivers success through empowerment and accountability, coaching, and caring. Embodies culture and values, defines objectives, enables success across boundaries, and invests in growth of team members.
Sales Excellence
Creates and qualifies new high‑impact opportunities, guiding customer on identifying opportunities and leveraging partner ecosystems. Presents compelling value propositions and specialized business plans that showcase Microsoft’s products and solutions.
Strategic Thinking
Articulates Microsoft’s and partners’ perspectives, builds deep connections with decision makers, and drives purchase decisions. Engages in strategic discussions to transform customer business models, prepares ROI models, and envisions joint roadmaps.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in an industry or driving digital transformation
OR Master's Degree AND 11+ years experience in an industry or driving digital transformation
OR 15+ years experience in an industry or driving digital transformation
OR equivalent experience.
8+ years experience making recommendations to and / or collaborating with mid‑to‑senior level executives.
10+ years of experience managing large, complex global relationships and / or relevant industry experience, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Other Qualifications :

3+ years people management experience.
Strategic Account Management M6 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,400 - $243,000 per year. A different range applies in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area : USD $202,000 - $267,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
