Job description

Thornton Automotive Dover, a state-of-the-art and I-CAR Gold Class certified collision center, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Collision Estimator to join our family-owned and operated team. For over a quarter-century, we have been a trusted name in the Dover, PA community, delivering exceptional workmanship and building strong customer relationships.

As the face of our collision center, you will guide customers through the repair process with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Thoroughly inspecting damaged vehicles to create accurate and comprehensive repair estimates.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, technicians, and insurance adjusters to coordinate repairs and manage expectations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling all necessary paperwork for repairs and insurance claims.
  • Ordering necessary parts and materials using estimating software like CCC One.
  • Performing final quality checks on repaired vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in collision repair or a similar estimating role.
  • A valid PA State Appraiser's License (required).
  • Proficiency with collision estimating software.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team-oriented attitude and a high level of professionalism.
  • ASE certification or other industry certifications are a plus.
