Job descriptionServes the Western Upper Michigan Peninsula 36 bed hospital Verified Chest Pain Center via the SCPC Area's only Open Bore MRI Level 3 Trauma Cardiopulmonary, arthroscopic surgery, ED, Ortho, sports medicine, diagnostics, advanced wound care center, certified sleep disorder center, 2 Express Care Walk-In Clinics, regional dialysis unit, pharmacy, 64-slice CT scanner, nuclear imaging, 3D mammography, radiology, lab, rehab, home care and hospice, 60 bed senior living Close to Lake Superior's beautiful sandy beaches and coastline Unit Profile : Facility Name : UP Health System - Portage, Floor : Outpatient Clinic, Trauma Level : Level III Position Information : Facility Department / Cost Center : Houghton Rehab, Role : Physical Therapist, Specialty : Physical Therapy, Number of Openings : 1, Shift : Day, Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 40, Weekend Hours : None, Call Requirements : None Unit Information : Number of Beds : 36, Patient Ratios : 9-12 patients per day (45 min treatments, 1 ¼ hour evaluations), Equipment : private treatment rooms, all standard gym equipment including cardio and weights, EHR : WebPT, Supervisor : Director of Rehab and Sports Medicine, Patient Population : Child, Students, Adult and Geriatric Hiring Profile : Must Have Skills / Experience : patient experience oriented, with strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions, Preferred Skillset / Experience : 2-3 years’ experience however will consider new grad with strong internship placements, Common Diagnosis / Treatment : orthopedic : all ages including collegiate athletes, vestibular, neurological, generalized weakness, Personality Fit : TEAM oriented, strong team atmosphere within therapy staff, Required Education : bachelors required, doctorate preferred Dress Code : Business casual (such as dress pants, dress, skirts, polo shirt, dress shirt) Busy Outpatient Clinic with a large population of Collegiate athletes. Would prefer at least 1 year experience in an outpatient clinic.
