Description
Responsible for coordinating and supporting the Technical Activities team to engage and grow SME Technical Communities and Committees. This role assists with community programs, committees, pilot initiatives, and student / faculty engagement by providing logistical, administrative, and operational support. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under direction of team leadership. This position ensures smooth day-to-day execution of initiatives and helps keep projects moving forward.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS :
- Coordinate and manage logistics for monthly webinars, meetings, and conference calls across SME Technical Community groups and Committees, including scheduling, speaker prep, and platform support
- Coordinate assigned projects and tasks from planning through execution, under direction of leadership
- Assist in tracking progress and preparing reports on initiatives, providing input and observations for program review
- Collaborate with industry advisors, faculty, and students to support targeted engagement strategies for SME Communities
- Work with the team in developing new processes or resources that improve the effectiveness of volunteer-driven programs
- Contribute to the planning and execution of outreach and visibility strategies for SME Awards and Competitions, helping to enhance program impact.
- Provide planning and post-meeting coordination and support to assist in the development of Community and Committee programs
- Provide onsite support at conferences and meetings, including operational support and exhibit booth staffing
- Coordinate with vendors and partners on assigned program materials (e.g., awards, supplies), ensuring timely delivery
- Work closely with internal / external partners to maintain an awareness of program status and milestones, and communicate appropriately with all stakeholders
- Provide administrative and logistical support as needed, including assisting with preparation and distribution of schedules, agendas, meeting materials, proposals, and meeting minutes
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
