Job Description

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Youth Therapeutic Respite Program will provide a safe, enriching environment that provides a wraparound approach to offering care coordination, family partner services, and an array of innovative therapies for youth between ages 5-17 years old with behavioral health needs.

Evidence-based practices will be implemented in play therapy, sand tray therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, applied behavior analysis, brief-solution focused therapy and more. This 10-bed, 24 / 7 structured and therapeutic program will focus on the following objectives.

• Provide culturally sensitive and linguistically diverse services that focus on reunification and development of meaningful relationships.
• Provide a safe, supportive, and accepting environment.
• Provide services and supports that stabilize, enrich, and develop skills to support effective coping, problem-solving and socialization skills.
• Connect and partner with BTCS services and / or community services, supports and other resources that will help the child and family with a successful transition to their home environment.
• To meet the above objectives, therapeutic and structured services will be provided that include educational, behavioral, and other recovery and trauma-informed focused activities.

The treatment team may include Psychiatrist, and other medical providers, Mental Health Professionals, Family Partners, teachers, Care Coordinators, and Licensed Therapists.

Key Responsibilities

Location and Salary

Seguin Youth Therapeutic Respite Program. Hourly Salary Range : Associate Counselor Range : $25.28- $37.03, Licensed Counselor Range : $32.33- $44.08.

Minimum Qualifications

Current provisional licensure by the State of Texas as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-Associate); applicant must be working towards full licensure. At least two years of experience providing services within a residential setting. Must have valid Texas driver's license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Current licensure by the State of Texas as a psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Two years providing counseling services for people with severe and persistent mental illness in a residential setting. Experience working with youth in individual, group, and family settings.
