Laser Operator

Full-Time | 2nd Shift – 3 : 00PM–11 : 30PM, Monday–Thursday (OT on Fridays as needed)

Location – Knightstown, Indiana

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Laser Operator to join a fast-growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the daily setup, operation, and maintenance of laser cutting equipment, supporting production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with experience in metal fabrication or laser operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily startup, operation, and shutdown of laser cutting machines

Load and unload raw materials and finished products

Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed

Conduct minor maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment and work area

Report any equipment deficiencies or production issues to leadership

Maintain accurate work orders and documentation in accordance with quality standards

Support the pull team and other production departments when needed

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production procedures

Qualifications

Experience with Bystronic laser equipment preferred

High school diploma or GED preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Forklift operation experience required

Working knowledge of NC machine code and fabrication processes a plus

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced, industrial environment

Team-oriented with solid communication and organizational skills
