TestPros is seeking a Project Manager with Section 508 experience for a Federal contract.

Position : Full-time

Citizenship : U.S. Citizenship

Location : Remote and DMV

Clearance : All applicants must pass a background check prior to start.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will apply their broad management skills and specialized functional and technical expertise to guide project teams in delivering client solutions or to manage the day-to-day operations. Provides leadership and overall direction within a single organization or serves as the project manager of a single large program containing multiple task elements. Coordinates personnel, services and products from a variety of functional areas. Applies industry as well as training, change management, functional, technical, and project management expertise.

This functional service will assist Federal Agency with managing complex Section 508 related projects. This functional service involves planning, organizing and managing project activities required to complete complex accessibility projects with predetermined parameters.

The project management team will apply the necessary skills, tools and proven best practices to help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager shall have proven project management implementation, experience managing accessibility projects, and may have a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

The lead / team lead, or project manager will manage the performance of contractors. This includes scheduling, daily oversight of efforts, and adherence to the expectations established in the Statement of Work or other requirement documents.

The team will :

• Provide remediation services for WORD, PDF, and Excel records, that may or may not contain redactions and may or may not be images
• Conduct section 508 requirements for PDF and Excel documents
• Specific expertise is needed for 508 requirements in order to troubleshoot issues and create accessible documents
• Remediate documents containing redactions
• Remediate documents that are images
• Remediate documents that are unable to apply Optical Character Recognition software
• The contractor shall not solely rely on automation to assist with making documents 508 compliant
• The contractor shall make and ensure all documents are compliant with agency's standards
• Remediate documents to ensure 508 compliance
• Remediate documents with the time specified by the OD and OSC Project Manager (PM)
• Document that the documents fully passes the HHS and FDA checklists
• Notify the PM when a document requires the insertion of Alt text
• Perform final document remediation within ten (10) business days after the PM has reviewed and returned the work product to the contractor for final remediation
• The process for remediation shall include : 1) The first remediation work product. 2) Review and corrections of the work product returned to the contractor; and, 3) Delivery of final remediated documents(s).
