Join VHB's Raleigh NC Office as a Land Development Assistant Project Manager to help grow their expanding and innovative Land Development and Planning and Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our clients include mixed-use, biotech, residential, multifamily, affordable housing, industrial, and hospitality developers.

VHB's Land Development Team is seeking passionate professionals to join our team supporting impactful projects like the Birch and Branch Apartments in Southeast Raleigh-a 180-unit affordable housing development. We're addressing key infrastructure and environmental challenges to help bring this community-focused project to life. Responsibilities

Oversee all internal project aspects, including data review, information analysis, and ensuring compliance with standards and design concepts.

• Lead the development of preliminary layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards and codes.
• Utilize, instruct, and delegate application usage for generating project-specific drawings, reports, or other technical deliverables
• Manage quality control procedures and recommend QC process enhancements
• Train and mentor junior staff on technical aspects and policies
• Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects
• Assist Project Managers with managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organization
• Oversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including conducting periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback with teammates
• Assist with Business Development and Visibility efforts representing VHB in the community.
