Gastroenterologist Physician Locums Job in Kentucky Starting February 2026 Great Pay and Location
Coverage Details for Assignment
Board Certification / Eligibility required
Kentucky licensed (IMLC certificate required at time of present)
Minimum coverage requirement is 2 weeks per month, no weekend or call coverage required
Schedule : Monday - Friday outpatient procedures with inpatient procedure and consult coverage. Office visits for (2) half days / week.
Monday-Friday Hours are .
Average inpatient consult volume is 3-4 per day. They will do 8-12 outpatient procedures and 1-3 inpatient procedures each day.
Colonoscopies and endoscopies are completed the most. ERCP and EUS not required.
Ongoing management of GI conditions / diseases through clinic visits.
Anesthesia available; conscious sedation is not required by the locums.
Ongoing management of GI conditions / diseases through clinic visits.
Pathology and in basket follow up.
Hospitalist admits patients with the specialist as a consult.
Great support staff with an Advanced Practice Provider available. CRNA support in Endo.
Working with one GI physician on-site and with a group of 8 total MDs, 19 total NPs, and 1-2 on-site.
Extremely efficient endoscopy lab with state of the art equipment.
Fully implemented EMR (Epic)
