Construction Accountant
Compute and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Reconcile and record discrepancies in construction loan drawdowns and disbursement schedules. Maintain accurate accounting records for project budgets and perform regular reconciliations and ensure alignment with project schedules and cost codes. Assist in preparing and submitting construction loan draws and ensure disbursements align with lender and project timelines. Analyze contractor payment applications and match with approved project budgets. Compile construction project budget data and documents, based on estimated revenues and previous budgets. Compile financial and accounting monthly reports on project loan status and construction progress. Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record information. Code financial documents and loan agreements for processing and internal classification. Access financial records to respond to project-related queries. Classify and summarize project-level financial data across different stages of construction. Prepare purchase orders and expense reports. Maintain inventory records. Assist with trial balances of books. Reconcile records of bank transactions. Monitor status of loans and accounts to ensure that payments are up to date. Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments. Requirements : U.S. Bachelors degree of Business Administration, BA in Accounting, BA in Economics, or related degree plus three (3) months of experience in the job duties or related duties.
