Program Manager, Environmental Assistance Program (EAP) & Lab Packing
The Program Manager, EAP & Lab Packing is responsible for setting the strategy and executing the plan resulting in commercial growth and customer retention. The strategic plan, the fit selection of segments, services, and the organization’s advantages will enable our growth goals. Working with the broader team to develop and manage the Environmental Assistance Program and lab packing services will ensure our Product Service Offering is a key differentiator.
This client-facing role combines technical environmental knowledge with strong sales acumen to identify customer needs, craft tailored service solutions, and manage the successful delivery of environmental programs. The Program Manager works closely with Marketing and Sales, Customer Experience, and Service Delivery teams to ensure high-quality, profitable, and compliant service execution.
Essential Functions & Requirements
Sales & Business Development
- Develops strategy and winning Product / Service Offer and creates a communication plan to clearly communicate value to customers and Sales teams
- Identifies, qualifies, and pursues new sales opportunities for EAP and lab packing services across industrial, academic, and government sectors
- Develops and delivers proposals, pricing strategies, and agreements that meet regulatory and client-specific requirements
- Partners with Sales to expand relationships with existing accounts and increase share of wallet through consultative selling
Program Scoping & Solution Design
Leads team in conducting site assessments and client consultations to evaluate hazardous waste streams, chemical inventories, and compliance risksConverts technical findings into actionable EAPs and customized lab packing programsActs as subject matter expert throughout sales, onboarding, and program transitionsClient Relationship Management
Builds and maintains relationships with key customer stakeholders including EHS managers, procurement contacts, and operational leadersServes as commercial liaison throughout program lifecycle, ensuring expectations and satisfaction targets are metManages renewals, scope expansion, and upsell opportunities with Account ManagementProgram Oversight & Coordination
Leads a team of specialists supporting Sales across multiple skill levelsDevelops professional proposals and contributes to go-to-market strategy adjustments based on market feedbackProject Oversight & Coordination
Coordinates with Operations, Logistics, and Service Delivery to ensure alignment with service commitmentsTracks milestones, resolves execution issues, and monitors profitabilityMarket Intelligence & Strategy
Tracks regulatory changes (RCRA, DOT, EPA), competitive activity, and customer trends to influence commercial strategyRepresents the organization at customer meetings, trade events, and industry forumsProvides leadership with market insights and recommendationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, chemistry, or related field (required)Experience
5+ years in environmental services sales, hazardous waste management, or commercial program leadership (required)Deep knowledge of RCRA regulations, lab packing procedures, and environmental compliance frameworks (required)Experience in onsite environmental business (preferred)Competencies
