Position Overview
The Mountaineer Program invites Scouters to the Summit to volunteer as part of our unpaid staff. One full day off is given for every six days of service.
Available Positions :
Individuals who wish to work for positions that require credentials (i.e. Aerial, Range & Target, Lifeguards, etc.) must provide proof of training and hold that credential before arrival. The Summit does not provide certificate level training for unpaid staff. During the application process, please select preferred work areas and give details on why you want these roles.
Volunteer Requirements :
- 18 years or older
- Current or can become a registered member of Scouting America
- Minimum 6 days of service
- U.S. citizen
- Fulfill all responsibilities contained in the volunteer agreement and to the area supervisor
- Provide valid credential or certificate of training (if applicable)
- Activity based volunteer positions must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Non-activity-based volunteer positions require lifting up to 25lbs
