We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to provide medical care to individuals housed at a Detention Center based in Detroit.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, RNs will assess, treat, and manage urgent, emergent, and chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 nursing coverage as part of a rotating schedule.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and re-assess detainee medical needs each shift.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Deliver on-site emergency care, including CPR and use of AEDs, pending emergency response.
- Assist with alcohol and drug detoxification protocols as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided.
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and facility personnel to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to all established clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with all security, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Current BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; correctional or emergency nursing experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
