We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role focuses on managing selling expenses within the retail sector while partnering closely with senior business leaders to provide actionable insights. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, particularly in retail finance, and a passion for driving process improvements.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze store selling expenses, including labor costs, workforce trends, and occupancy accounting, to optimize financial performance.
• Collaborate with Finance team members and Sales Operations leaders to ensure alignment on expense management strategies.
• Develop and present business case analyses, identifying trends and providing recommendations based on data-driven insights.
• Manage deliverables across Finance and other business units, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing existing workflows and implementing enhancements.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior and executive leadership, communicating financial impacts and insights effectively.
• Partner with accounting teams to assess the financial implications of store openings and closures.
• Explore profitability drivers within retail FP& A, such as hourly wage impacts and workforce scheduling.
• Provide expertise in workforce management, analyzing labor costs and minimum wage impacts.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in expense structure management across multi-unit retail operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the retail or multi-unit sector.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of workforce management and its impact on financial outcomes.
• Knowledge of occupancy accounting and its role in expense management.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience addressing senior leadership.
• Highly curious and adaptable, with a proven track record of resilience in challenging business environments.
• Advanced skills in data mining techniques and research analysis.
