Our Hunt Valley, MD office is seeking a Senior Transportation Structural Project Engineer to lead the design and management of transportation structure projects. This senior-level role is ideal for an experienced structural engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about designing bridges and transportation structures that shape our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of new and rehabilitation bridge projects from concept through completion
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery
- Prepare contract documents, technical specifications, and construction phase services
- Coordinate with subconsultants, clients, and agency representatives
- Supervise and mentor design engineers and drafting personnel
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and project partners
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field12-20 years of relevant experience in structural designLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of MarylandExperience with AASHTO LRFD bridge designProven experience working with the Maryland Department of TransportationStrong knowledge of structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete componentsExcellent communication, leadership, and project management skillsPreferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Civil EngineeringAt least 6 years of experience leading design engineers and drafting personnelWork Environment
