East Liverpool's medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The hospital provides 24 / 7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. Department : Medical Surgical Unit

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of practice,  utilizing  technical and manual skills. The LPN delivers high-quality care that addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients while effectively communicating with patients and their families. This role functions under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities :

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities, within the LPN scope of practice.
• Perform indirect patient care tasks, including documentation, care coordination, and assisting with patient education.
• Observe, report, and document patient status and changes to the supervising RN.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Support the RN in implementing and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state license

2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
