Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, and supervising the day to day nursing activities performed by the Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses in accordance with federal, state and local standards. The Registered Nurse collaborates with all clinical staff and providers, communicating patient care information to residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering quality nursing care as part of a healthcare team
Collaborates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care plans
Evaluates resident needs through ongoing assessment and revises care plan based on changes in resident's conditionInterprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess resident's conditionPrepares and administers medications as ordered by a physicianPrepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures supplies are maintainedPerforms additional nursing duties as assignedCommunicates resident healthcare needs to the appropriate healthcare team or providerProvides clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants
Delegates and communicates resident care to appropriate team members based on skill, knowledge, and patient acuityAssures daily accurate, concise reporting, and documentation of resident condition and needs with appropriate follow-upFacilitates resident and family education on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and develop health improvement programsQualifications
Education :
Minimum of an Associate's Degree Accredited Registered Nursing programExperience :
