Job Description

The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator utilizes their perioperative-specific clinical experience to guide surgery patients through the diagnostic and treatment processes. Responsibilities include performing pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients and establishing respectful relationships with patients and families to facilitate a positive experience and outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate surgery patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process.
  • Perform pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients.
  • Establish positive relationships with patients and their families.
  • Facilitate a positive experience and outcome for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), may be obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • At least 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience required and / or medical / surgical experience.
  • Experience with EPIC is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
