Requirements

• Required For Presentation : active MS DEA in hand, and active board certification in hand
• Accepting IMLC as of 11 / 6 / 2025
• Board Certification : Current Board Certification and active participation in the examination process leading to board certification.Reappointment : Maintenance of Board Certification required for reappointment eligibility. (unless an exception exists as stated in the Medical Staff Bylaws)Failure to obtain board certification within the required timeframe, or failure to maintain board certification, will result in automatic relinquishment of privileges.Minimum Formal Training : Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-approved residency training program. Residents in year 2 or greater are eligible for Emergency Medicine Privileges. (EXCEPTION : Military physicians)Required Previous Experience : (required for new applicants)Applicants for initial appointment must be able to demonstrate active practice in the past 12 months.Exception : Extenuating circumstances to be considered by the PEC & MECApplicants have the burden of producing information deemed adequate by the Hospital for a proper evaluation of current competence and other qualifications.
