Responsibilities

The Enforcement Attorney provides legal representation, consultation, and support across the Health and Human Services system. Key duties include :

• Represent HHSC in contested cases governed by the Administrative Procedure Act.
• Prepare, file, and manage litigation filings and discovery requests in district courts.
• Consult program staff on complex legal issues related to sanctions and enforcement.
• Develop and conduct training on hearing processes.
• Manage a busy docket of cases, including motion practice, deposition, and briefing.

Additional Information
