Overall Responsibility :

A Transportation Engineer 2 supports the project's PM and team through efficient plan production. Must be self-motivated individual that works well independently in a team-oriented environment.  Must be able to make independent & design decisions

Key Areas of Responsibility :

• Firm proficiency in developing more complex roadway & intersection alignments / layouts, right-of-way-plans, and drainage plans
• Firm understanding of hydrology and drainage design
• Proficient at phased E&SC plans & BMP design
• A firm understanding of GDOT Microstation and InRoads standards
• Ability to quickly grasp and apply new design procedures / ordinances
• Ability to coordinate with utility providers for utility relocations
• Efficiently generate cross sections & profiles in Microstation & InRoads / OpenRoads.
• Preparation of Signing and Marking Plans
• Preparation of Construction Phasing Plans
• GDOT PDP experience and knowledge of GDOTs PPG and EDG
• Basic surveying knowledge and ability to interpret and evaluate the quality of survey data and documentation.
• Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Ability to anticipate project's needs in terms of scope and  schedule, budget, client expectation and SEI resources.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge to other engineers.
• Excellent communications and relationship building skills.
• Additional duties as assigned.
