GENERAL SUMMARY :
\nOversees the performance of diagnostic x-ray procedures, technology, techniques and equipment. Schedules, trains and clinically supervises radiologic technologists and support care staff.

4. Facilitates demonstration of new techniques, i.e. equipment and procedures to staff.

7. Completes staff competency evaluations on an annual basis.

15. Coordinates the departments quality improvement plan as required.

19. Orders supplies and assists with stocking; keeps work areas properly supplied.

21. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
\n1. Knowledge of radiologic positioning, use of technical factors and radiation safety practices.
\n\n
2. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to radiography.
\n\n
3. Skill in operating radiologic equipment, imaging capture devices, PACS and other related systems.
\n\n
4. Ability to react appropriately and perform work under stressful and emergent situations.
\n\n
5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
\n\n
6. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.
\n\n
7. Ability to effectively interact with patients, family, staff and physicians.
\n\n
8. Ability to care for diverse patients throughout the age continuum.
\n\n
9. Ability to exercise courtesy and professionalism in the work environment.
\n\n
10. Ability to practice proper body mechanics to ensure personal and patient safety.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
\n\n
Graduate of a school of radiologic technology with current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required. Current Medical Radiographer licensure from the State of Nebraska required. One (1) year of experience as a full-time radiologic technologist required.
\n\n
\n\n
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS :
\nBasic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
\n\n
\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
\n\n

(DOT) Characterized as medium work requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
