Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a compact or IN license and at least 18 months of recent ER experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital-based Emergency Department
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Every other weekend is required
  • Floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
  • No local candidates are accepted for ER positions
  • Cerner EMR is used in this unit
  • Must work two out of three major holidays as scheduled
  • RTO policy allows up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off to be auto-approved; more requires facility approval
  • First-time travelers are eligible for this position
  • Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to starting the assignment (average 4–6 hours)
  • Dress code and additional facility-specific onboarding requirements will be communicated at time of offer

  • Active IN or compact RN license in hand by start date
  • Minimum of 18 months recent ER nursing experience and at least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
  • Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA & RQI accepted)
  • Must have graduated from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Cerner charting system experience required
  • Must provide two supervisor references
  • Any previous permanent or PRN employee must have a 12-month gap before being considered as a traveler
