Job descriptionThis position requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, climb and reach above the shoulders on a regular basis. Position requires the ability to lift / carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis and use various shop equipment and tools (including but not limited to ladders, carts, pallet jacks, etc.). Equipment must always be used in a safe manner. Shop teammates who are trained in use of the forklift, drive the forklift as a primary / essential duty, and / or are back-up forklift operators must have current training, a valid driver's license and always use the equipment safely. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Live the Century Values - humble, hungry and together. Maintain performance at levels that meet or exceed expectations. Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude when collaborating with teammates and external partners. Be proactive in alerting management to potential improvements and or changes that could potentially affect quality or service levels to teammates and partners. Communicate and ask questions to promote a clear understanding of expectations regarding assigned projects and tasks. Report one safety hazard identification each quarter.
GENERAL FUNCTION : Responsible for welding gates, posts, and other fence
materials to spec.
REPORTS TO : Shop Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Read and interpret drawings, and work orders to determine welding
- Requirements
- Weld, cut, and assemble metal parts using various welding Using Mig Welder.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor work progress and report any issues or delays promptly.
- Ability to operate a forklift as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
All roles are required to be on site at their assigned location daily to perform
their role.
