Position Highlights :
- $21.23-$26.01 DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
- Monday - Friday 9 : 00 am - 7 : 00 pm & Saturdays 9 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm.
What You'll Do :
Update patient medical records, conduct X-ray procedures, including panoramic images and intraoral photographsRecord periodontal charting and prepare instruments and equipment for Provider examsMix exam materials with awareness of infection control, perform preventative care like fluoride treatmentsMonitor nitrous oxide analgesia under Provider supervision (Only in Washington)Educate patients on oral hygiene in clinic and school-based programsAssist in patient infection control program, sterilize instruments / equipmentMay assist in Orthodontics, including obtaining patient records, bite registrations, patient models, fabricating orthodontic retainers, and placing / removing ligature tiesMay perform Lead duties by maintaining the daily flow of the department and acting as a liaison between line staff and the direct supervisor. Manage breaks, lunches, sick calls, and overtime. Provide insights to leaders regarding the skill level and performance of the employees. Responsible for providing training to new employees and existing staff when needed.Qualifications :
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)BLS certification within 90 daysSurgical Technologist Registration if assisting a Dentist in the operating roomRegistration as a Dental Assistant or EFDA certificationNOTE : Dental Assistants who have not received their Dental Assistant registration from the State of Washington will not be allowed to perform the Essential Functions of the job until it is received. Prior to this time, a Dental Assistant will be allowed to observe patient care and assist with paperwork and receptionist roles only.
