Responsibilities of Human Resources Director and Staffing Coordinator :
Ability to build strong relationships and gain support from staff / employee relations.
Ensure facility has appropriate levels of staffing and nursing care at all times.
Complete monthly nursing schedule, coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.
Complete and post work sheets / time schedules. Coordinate variances with the DNS.
Extend job offers to applicants, completing new hire paperwork as well as planning and facilitating orientation every week
Managing terminations including working with Administration in the grievance process
Maintaining nursing license renewals
Organizing and facilitating employee engagement activities within the facility
Daily administrative duties
Qualifications of Human Resources and Staffing Coordinator :
Prior Experience as a Staffing Coordinator or Scheduler and Payroll within a nursing center or healthcare setting
Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to multi-task.
Knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to employment law, wage, and hour rules, labor relations, OSHA, Privacy Act, etc.
