Job Summary
At Wolfgang Puck Catering , we believe the art of hospitality lives in every detail, from a beautifully crafted plate to the warmth of genuine service. As Executive Chef at the Houston Space Center , you’ll bring that philosophy to life across both our café operations and catering programs , leading a dynamic culinary team that delivers restaurant-quality experiences at scale.
This role blends creativity with operational excellence, overseeing a full-scratch kitchen that serves guests, museum visitors, and high-profile event clients alike. You’ll collaborate closely with our operations and event teams to design innovative menus, inspire your staff, and uphold the uncompromising standards that define Wolfgang Puck Catering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all culinary operations for the Houston Space Center café and catering divisions, ensuring excellence in quality, presentation, and hospitality.
Develop seasonal, full-scratch menus that reflect Wolfgang Puck’s signature style while incorporating fresh, local ingredients and sustainable practices.
Oversee production for daily café service, private events, and large-scale corporate or VIP functions, ensuring seamless coordination and flawless execution.
Drive financial results through effective food cost management, labor planning, and accurate inventory control.
Collaborate with sales and event teams to create bespoke culinary experiences tailored to the occasion.
Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of culinary professionals, cultivating a culture of creativity, craftsmanship, and accountability.
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace organization.
Partner with the Wolfgang Puck Culinary and Marketing teams to roll out new initiatives and signature programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in fine dining, catering, or high-volume operations.
Proven success managing full-scratch kitchens with strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and presentation.
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple service styles simultaneously.
Strong financial acumen with a record of meeting or exceeding food and labor cost targets.
Passion for guest service, innovation, and developing future culinary talent.
ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred.
