Overview
Quality Assurance and Control Engineer – New FAB Construction Department. TSMC Arizona is looking for a Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to join the F21 FAB project located in Phoenix, Arizona. The role provides direction, coordination, guidance, and technical expertise in all areas of quality and is responsible for the overall daily operations of quality on the project.
Responsibilities
- Monitor welding procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASTM, ASME, or AWS.
- Identify issues such as improper welding techniques, material defects, or insufficient weld penetration.
- Visually inspect welds and fusions on fittings and joints and verify adherence to manufacturer and client procedures.
- Monitor and enforce a three-level inspection process.
- Conduct daily observations to ensure the three levels of inspection are undertaken as designed and document results.
- Examine the work area to ensure work aligns with contract requirements and resolve differences.
- Ensure all work in place complies with approved submittals and contract documents; ensure rework items are corrected.
- Participate in strategic planning activities and perform internal quality inspections and IOR inspections.
- Perform submittal reviews and approvals for compliance with subcontract documents.
- Prepare quality management plans for specialized projects and schedule pre-installation conferences.
- Supervise testing agencies and maintain records to ensure testing per ASTM standards.
- Verify materials meet contract-specific requirements.
- Participate in Contractor Quality weekly meetings and chair / document weekly QC meetings with stakeholders.
- Oversee daily and weekly QC / QA reports to demonstrate conformance with established standards.

- Report incidents, near misses, and hazards; inform colleagues of hazardous situations; participate in workplace inspections and required training.
- Attend prestart and safety meetings and contribute to safety discussions.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and AIA guidelines for design and construction fields; perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Four-year accredited college / university degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, Building Science, or related field; or equivalent education / experience.5 years of large project and construction management experience preferred with strong results in meeting deadlines and cost requirements.USACE Construction Quality Management certificate, or equivalent.In-depth knowledge of Construction Standards and Best Practices; proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office, Smartsheet, ACC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field.Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for industrial construction; preference for semiconductor experience; familiarity with ASME B31.3, NFPA 70, NFPA 54 and IBC Chapter 17.Ability to interpret and enforce contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.Preferred Qualifications

5088 W. Innovation Circle, Phoenix, AZ 85083. On-site work at the Phoenix facility required. Standard hours : 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM or 9 : 00 AM–6 : 00 PM, Monday–Friday.
