Recovery Starship - Casa D is a 15-bed licensed social rehabilitation facility for adults age 18+ with serious mental illness and dual diagnosis. The maximum stay is 18 months (average length of stay, 9-12 months).

POSITION SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, serves as a primary support and case manager for individuals with mental illness and other co- occurring disorders by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community.

Full-Time | NOC | Shifts : 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM | Days : Sunday - Thursday
Full Time | AM | Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM | Days : Friday - Monday
Expected starting wage is $21.42.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
- High School Graduation or G.E.D. equivalent and two (2) years of direct services in Mental Health or community services; or Associates degree and one (1) year of experience or Bachelor's degree in Social Services
San Bernardino County FACT, ACT, and MAPS programs :
At least thirty semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in behavioral or social science, orSixty semester (90 quarter) units of completed college coursework, which includes 15 semester (23 quarter) units in behavioral science, Psych Tech courses and Alcohol and Drug Certificate courses are acceptable.AND one (1) year experience providing mental health services including interviewing and referring participants and performing crisis intervention, orThree (3) years of experience in a behavioral health department which involved direct participant contact, orBachelor's degree in a behavioral science and six (6) months experience providing mental health services including interviewing and referring participants and performing crisis intervention.Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues is requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employmentAll opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull and lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less as well as to frequently sit, walk, reach, bend and do simple and power grasping. The position requires driving and frequent Exposure to Hazards (Blood Borne Pathogens, hospital waste, Chemicals & Infections).
