This locum tenens position in a scenic region of Michigans Upper Peninsula offers a chance to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment. Position Overview : Specialty : Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) Start Date : January 10, 2025 Duration : Ongoing weekend coverage with orientation required prior to the first shift. Schedule : Weekends in January (1 PM to 9 PM shifts) Dates include 1 / 11-1 / 12, 1 / 18-1 / 19, and 1 / 25-1 / 26 Coverage Type : Scheduled clinical hours only (no call). Practice Setting : Primarily outpatient with some inpatient admissions. Patient Volume : Average of 36 patients per day in the Emergency Department. Requirements : License : Must hold an active Michigan state license. Certifications : Board Certification required. BLS certification mandatory. Experience : Strong preference for providers with prior Emergency Medicine experience. EMR System : Familiarity with MediTech is a plus. Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 30 days; temporary privileges available for quick start. Additional Details : Support Staff : Emergency Department physicians and RNs will be available for collaboration. Admissions : Average of 3 inpatient admissions per shift.
