About the Company and Benefits Specialist Opportunity
CFS is partnering with a well-established and growing organization in Elkhart, Indiana to hire a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist . This position plays a key role in supporting the company's human resources team by administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance, and providing high-quality service to employees.
The Benefits Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, manage enrollment processes, and support open enrollment and wellness initiatives. Position : Fully in-office in Elkhart, IN
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
Key Responsibilities of the Benefits Specialist
Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
Serve as the main contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, claims, and plan details
Coordinate open enrollment, prepare communication materials, and guide employees through plan selections
Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations
Partner with benefits providers and brokers to resolve issues and ensure smooth plan administration
Assist with benefits billing, reconciliation, and reporting
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA
Support HR projects and initiatives, including new hire orientation, policy updates, and employee engagement programs
Qualifications for the Benefits Specialist
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR support required
Strong knowledge of benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly
High level of attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Location : On-site in Elkhart, Indiana | Salary Range : $48,000 - $60,000 annually
