Zurich is presently seeking a Premium Audit Field Auditor to work remotely in North Carolina or its surrounding areas within the South. While we prefer candidates based in the southern region, we’re open to considering other locations across the U.S. for the ideal candidate. Our Field Auditors have the flexibility to work from home within their designated territory and may anticipate up to 5% travel as required.

As a Premium Audit Field Auditor, your role is critical to providing clarification and insight to premiums paid and due, which directly affect the underwriting results of a company. To perform examination of policyholder´s accounting and financial records to ensure accurate calculation of earned premium for risks of moderate complexity and that audited exposures are accurately calculated. In this role you will audit large accounts in all industries for both workers compensation, liability, and business auto.

Client Externally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to external clients and / or customers. Typically involves building relationships and promoting the company.

About Our Premium Audit Group :

Premium Audit provides services to Zurich North America Commercial insureds. Performing numerous physical and voluntary audits annually. Our Field Auditors are located near our customers, across 30 states.

Our Field Auditors have strong technical skills, provide great customer service, and have superior verbal and written communication skills. Zurich's accounts are large, interesting, and complex. We are seeking candidates who are looking for a challenge.

The role will be filled at the Premium Audit Auditor I or Premium Audit Auditor II level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Basic Qualifications :

Premium Audit Auditor I :

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting and Financial Auditing area
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting and Financial Auditing area
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting and Financial Auditing area
  • Experience in MS Office

Premium Audit Auditor II :

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years in the Casualty Premium Audit area
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Casualty Premium Audit area
  • Zurich approved Apprenticeship Program including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Casualty Premium Audit area
  • Experience with laptop computer auditing and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of NCCI Workers Compensation and ISO General Liability rules, manuals and industry practices
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Workers compensation, general liability, auto, inland marine and garage liability within a field auditing role
  • APA and / or CPCU
  • Large, multi-state premium audit experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
