Symptom management : Alteration in skin and mucous membranes, Altered mental status, Constipation / diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea / vomiting, Neuropathy. Professional Knowledge and Skills : Chest tube care and management, Colostomy care and management, Foley catheter insertion / management, Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring, Wound care. Pain Management : IV push narcotic agents, Medication tolerance / dependence, assessment, PCA pump management, Transdermal patches. Surgery : Post surgical care. Skills Preferred : IV Therapy / Infusions : Accessing Ports. Oncologic Emergencies : Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage. Psychosocial Care : Hospice care, Withholding / withdrawing treatment. Care of Patient With : Bladder / Kidney Cancer, Brain cancer, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Ear / Nose / Throat Cancers, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia / Blood Dyscrasias, Liver Cancer, Lung cancer, Lymphoma / Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Melanoma, Multiple Myeloma, Ovarian Cancer / Uterine Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer. • Special Procedures / Unit Details : Primary oncology unit treating all types of cancer in all phases of care from work-up to completion of therapy. Administer inpatient chemo regimens. Uro-gyn and Gyn-onc surgical population - providing post op care. Step-down neuro overflow unit for strokes, head bleeds, and other neurological needs. Is on-call REQ? (Y / N) What is the req?
