The Purdue Veterinary Hospital is looking for enthusiastic veterinary assistant to join our large animal team. Veterinary assistants are responsible for maintaining a clean and stocked hospital, providing basic animal care needs, and helping the team work more efficiently to complete orders and patient treatments. Tasks include patient restraint, set-up, and clean-up for specific procedures including knowledge of specific equipment, stocking and cleaning of patient care areas, and transportation of equipment and supplies between all areas of the hospital. Will also travel with the equine ambulatory team and assist with exams and procedures at the farms.

What We're Looking For :

Education and Experience :

Required :

• High School Diploma / GED
• 3 years of barn experience, with extensive hands-on work involving horses, such as routine care, behavioral observation, administering basic treatments, and maintaining a safe and organized barn environment
