Position Overview
Hoidale is seeking a skilled and motivated Fuel Equipment Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensing equipment, underground and aboveground storage tanks, point-of-sale systems, and related fueling infrastructure. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair fuel dispensing systems, pumps, tanks, and related components.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fueling equipment and systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
Calibrate meters and perform leak detection and system testing in compliance with regulations.
Work with POS and electronic control systems for fuel dispensers.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate job details with dispatch and customers.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
2+ years of experience in fuel equipment service, industrial maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to travel regionally and work in various weather conditions.
Knowledge of petroleum equipment (Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder-Root, etc.) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites.
