This is a Locum to Perm (after 2 months) or straight perm need only - Will consider IM, FM, ER, PM&R, or Occ Med as long as they have Occ Med experience.

Description

We are a leading occupational medicine clinic focused on reducing healthcare costs and improving employee productivity. We provide urgent and appointment-based care for work-related injuries and illnesses, along with tailored rehab programs to support timely returns to work.

Summary / Objective

As a Staff Physician with us, you will enhance the patient experience by delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You’ll manage patient flow, deliver compassionate treatment, and communicate care plans effectively.

Essential Functions

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, manage work restrictions, and support safe return-to-work plans.
  • Conduct and interpret OSHA, DOT, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-work exams.
  • Order labs, imaging, and referrals; prescribe medications as necessary.
  • Perform minor procedures such as wound care and foreign body removal.
  • Communicate treatment plans, test results, and follow-up instructions to patients, employers, and clinical staff.
  • Ensure a smooth patient flow by coordinating with clinical staff and minimizing wait times.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and EMR.
  • Provide support and supervision to clinical staff, including Physician Assistants, as needed.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and perform stabilization when required.
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance, infection control, and safety protocols.
  • Job duties may change to meet clinic needs.
  • Education / Experience / Skills
  • MD or DO with unrestricted California license.
  • DOT certification required (or obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • BCLS, CPR, and AED certified; DEA and California drug licenses.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT regulations, and EMR experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine is a plus.
