Job Summary :
The Director, Data Quality is responsible for establishing, leading, and driving adoption of the data quality strategy across the organization. This role ensures that enterprise data — particularly within ERP and related systems — is standardized, accurate, consistent, complete, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. The Director, Data Quality manages data analysts and works closely with data stewards, IT, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to implement data quality strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily : 1) Demonstrates alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborates with key internal / external resources; 3) Participates in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions :
- Hire, develop, evaluate, and influence effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
- Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Work safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Data Quality Strategy & Governance
Develop and maintain a data quality framework aligned with corporate data governance and ERP program goals.Define and enforce data quality policies, standards, and metrics.Establish data cleansing and enrichment processes to improve accuracy and consistency.Partner with data owners, stewards, and business leaders to establish accountability for data quality.Partner with IT security and compliance teams related to data protection and data loss protection practices.Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Data Monitoring & Improvement
Implement tools and processes to measure and monitor data quality across key business domains and value streams (customer, supplier, equipment, parts, service, finance, etc.).Serve as the point of contact for data quality issues and escalation within the organization.Develop dashboards and reporting for data quality KPIs and trends.Lead root cause analysis for data quality issues and oversee data cleansing and remediation activities.Conduct data audits, profiling, and validation to maintain data integrity.ERP & Master Data Support
Collaborate with ERP implementation and master data teams to ensure clean, validated, and standardized data migration.Define controls for data entry, validation, and maintenance within ERP and other key systems.Support post-go-live monitoring and continuous improvement of data quality in the ERP environment.Change Management & Adoption
Design and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of data quality practices across the organization.Develop and deliver communication plans that clearly articulate the data quality strategy (“why”, “what”, “how”).Create or partner with Training to create learning materials and workshops.Promote a culture of data ownership and accountability across business functions.Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead a team of data analysts who support the Data Quality Strategy and Governance activities.Train and mentor staff on best practices for data quality and governance.Facilitate data quality & governance councils and cross-functional working groups.Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify data quality issues, root causes, and solutions.Tools & Technology
Evaluate and implement data quality and governance tools (e.g. Azure Services for Data Quality and Governance, Data Governance in Snowflake etc.).Ensure integration of data quality processes into data pipelines, analytics platforms, and ERP systems.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience leading change management initiatives through strategic communication delivery and tailored training programs.Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.Experience in designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks aligned with broader organizational data strategy.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for data compliance ( eg : FTC Safeguards Rule, State Privacy Laws, Data Breach Notification Laws etc.).Project management experience and ability to manage multiple initiatives.Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, etc.) and data management practices.Understanding of data governance frameworks, data modeling, and data management tools.Experience with data catalog and quality tools (e.g., Azure Purview, Informatica, Collibra etc.).Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Business ,Information Systems, or related field Master's degree preferred.8+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.Supervisory Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Travel :
Up to 10% travel. May include overnight stays (conferences, HOLT site visits, etc.).Physical Requirements :
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Work Environment :
Works primarily in a professional office environment.Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.Disclaimer :
