Paint Line Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary

The Paint Line Supervisor leads daily paint operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met. This role manages operators, oversees workflow and equipment, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The departmental supervisor will work with the plant manager and upper management to ensure daily goals are being developed and met. In this position, you will be managing crews and developing a team environment. This position also requires the ability to learn quickly and think proactively as situations arise that could disrupt production.

Job Requirements

Education : Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year College or Technical School.

Experience : 6 months to 1 year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other abilities :

• High wet spray knowledge.
• Booth and equipment maintenance.
• Paint mixing and matching.
• Surface prep, defect identification, and correction.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• General computer skills will be required including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• As requested, recruit, hire, train, supervise, and direct work of part-time and full-time employees. This will also include appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Safety Requirements

Personal Protection Equipment (As required in production area). All personal protection equipment will be provided with the exception of steel-toed footwear.
