Job Summary / Description KOLN is seeking a driven and dynamic Breaking News Multi-Media Journalist and Producer to play a critical role in our morning show operations. This position will lead digital coverage of breaking news and weather in the overnight hours. They will provide breaking news coverage in newscasts and on the 10 / 11 Now Streaming Studio. This person will also be trained to produce the show, assisting the overnight producer on days when there aren’t breaking stories to cover.

• Lead digital coverage overnight, including writing local news stories as needed and posting to social media
• Report breaking news from the field and 10 / 11 Streaming Studio
• Monitor police scanner for breaking news
• Drive the 10 / 11 storm chasing vehicle, the Weather Shield, during weather events
• Produce the 10 / 11 morning show on a fill-in basis

Qualifications / Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s License with a good driving record.
