MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Certified Medical Assistant

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant.

Position Status : Full Time Days, Monday through Friday

Position Location : Sentara Primary Care and Therapy Center Town Center, Virginia Beach

Overview : Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated by and under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP / PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.

Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

• CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Experience : One year Clinical / Administrative Experience
